National First Responders day

First responders are the men and women behind the scenes of every minor and major accident. They come from all walks of life and dedicate their time to keeping our communities safe. We call them when we are scared, when we are injured and when we need help. The comfort provided by knowing ‘help is on the way’ is something that’s easy to take for granted. Emergency service workers continuously risk their lives for us. Why not thank them for their service and bravery? There are many thoughtful and creative ways to say ‘thank you’ to the first responders in and around our community. Here are a few ways to show your support:

5 Ways to Say Thank You to a First Responder

Write a letter

A simple hand-written thank you note can go a long way. First responders can easily pin these to their bulletin boards or hang them in their lockers. Saying ‘thank you’ never gets old.

Remind your friends

Tell others stories about how a first responder changed your life or the life of someone you know. Sharing your stories will honor the men and women who came to your rescue.

Donate to a charity

First responders give back to us. Why not give back in honor of them? Check out your local charity organizations and contribute that will benefit others the way these heroes have helped us.

Drop off food

Homemade goods, bottles of water, or miscellaneous snacks will keep our first responders energized and ready for the day. Many people offer sweets but don’t hesitate to drop off some vegetables or protein bars.

Social media shout-out

Get creative with a post on social media, recognizing first responders everywhere. Using the #nationalfirstrespondersday will help contribute to the larger conversation the Nation is having about how incredible these men and women are.

Community outreach

Community outreach has always been important to Cesar Ornelas Law. Our team has taken part in various projects throughout the local community and is always looking for ways to show our support and gratitude.

On October 14th, Cesar was able to donate duty bags to the Kermit Police department and Winkler County Sheriff’s department as a way of thanking the men and women who keep our communities safe.

This is just one example of how we honor our first responders and the local community. We are always on the lookout for worthy causes. We will remain forever grateful for the first responders who change lives every day.
