Nicholas Morrell
A Dedicated Trial Attorney
Personal Injury Lawyer
Nicholas “Nick” Morrell is a trial attorney at Cesar Ornelas Law. Raised in San Antonio, Nick loves being a lawyer, arguing in a courtroom and fighting for justice for citizens’ rights under the Constitution.

Since becoming an attorney Nick has spent years doing just that. His trial experience in personal injury includes working on a trial team obtaining $10 million wrongful-death jury verdict in Bexar County and multiple other trials and settlements throughout the state. And he is no stranger to high-profile cases because of his involvement working on the estate of late Tejano singer Selena of Corpus Christi.

Nick’s dedication to fight for justice is also what led him to help obtain a grant of asylum for a Syrian refugee who was fleeing death at the hands of the Assad regime. He also has a trained eye for detail which comes from his experience helping Fortune 100 companies in health and safety compliance, where he would respond to major chemical incidents and conduct work site investigations.

In 2006, Nick graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and another in Egyptology. After graduation, Nick joined the United States Army Reserve where he served as a civil affairs sergeant and studied as an Arabic linguist. After serving his country in the military, Nick earned his law degree from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2012.

Nick is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association. Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and family of four daughters and participating in his church.
