Two major crashes slowed down traffic in San Antonio early Friday morning.
According to KTSA, the first 18-wheeler accident occurred around 3:30 AM Friday morning. According to police, wet roads are to blame for the 18-wheeler rollover on the Finesilver curve. This curve is located on the ramp from IH-35 to I-19, a spot that sees dozens of accidents every year. Luckily, the driver was able to get out of the truck with no major injuries.
Only an hour later, on the East side, an 18-wheeler traveling on IH-10 West slammed into a concrete median near Foster Road. The 18-wheeler was carrying rebar, which spilled from the truck onto the road, creating additional traffic hazards. The accident was made worse when the truck burst into flames. Thankfully, the driver of the 18-wheeler was able to remove himself from his vehicle safely.
