El Paso, Texas: Cesar Ornelas, an El Paso attorney, and his law firm organized a community giveaway that included 250 Thanksgiving dinners on November 16, 2020. In an endeavor to bring joy to the underprivileged families in El Paso, the attorney with the big heart handed the turkeys to the vehicles and individuals that arrived first.
By focusing most of his effort in the Independent School District, Cesar Ornelas law firm was able to smile on the faces of 200 families in need on the special day of Thanksgiving. These turkeys were distributed through an El Paso program that has always worked closely with the disabled in the community. The other 50 turkeys were handled to the member of the public on a first-come basis. The event was captured by El Paso Times, a local news publisher.
“I grew up in poverty, so I know what it’s like to be on the other end—in need.” Cesar Ornelas stated in his speech after the undertaking. “We represent many clients who are in need, we like to give a voice to the voiceless, We’re always trying to represent the victim or the people in need, and that’s exactly why we do it.” he continued to explain the reason for his actions.
The community giveaway entailed a complete turkey dinner that came with stuffing and sides. According to the attorney, he believed that everybody needed something to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day.
This generousness did not come as a surprise to the locals of El Paso and the surrounding regions. The law firm has always been giving back to the community in unimaginable ways. For starters, they have always acted as the voiceless voice and championed for their rights both in and outside court.
The people of El Paso were both touched and delighted by the bold and humble move of looking out for the underprivileged. Most of the residents felt that more local and national firms and organizations should also follow suit.
On special days such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, nobody deserves to be miserable or hungry, just to mention a few. More importantly, these gestures should not only apply to special occasions. And with the law firm’s kind gesture, most people have just understood the benefits and the joy of sharing.
According to Cesar Ornelas and his team, they are not going to stop supporting this region’s residents any time soon. They believe that without the community, they would also be out of a job. And through community outreach programs, they will focus their effort on uplifting the needy for a better tomorrow.
