UPDATE: Motorcyclist charged in fatal pedestrian crash near El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, TX — A 45-year-old man was arrested and formally charged after a motorcycle crash that killed a pedestrian last Monday in El Paso, reports KFOX14.

The fatal incident occurred in the 7100 block of Chino Drive on March 21, at about 12:35 a.m.

Authorities said a 50-year-old man was walking on the road when he was hit by the westbound motorcyclist.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The rider, who attempted to flee the scene on foot, was later found by an officer. He was taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries, and, upon his release, was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a charge of accident involving death. He is currently being held on a $75,000 bond.
