Train strikes pedestrian in downtown El Paso

EL PASO, TX – A pedestrian was seriously injured early Tuesday morning when they were struck by a train in downtown El Paso.

According to KVIA, emergency crews were called to the scene in the 400 block of North Campbell Street near I-10 shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The unidentified pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. It is unclear why they was on the tracks when the incident occurred.
