Pedestrian dies after being hit by two vehicles in NW Odessa
ODESSA, TX — A 58-year-old man died late Sunday night after being hit by two drivers on West 42nd Street in northwest Odessa, reports Your Basin.
The fatal incident occurred at the North Golder Avenue intersection, near the Newell area, at about 11:28 p.m.
According to Odessa Police, multiple pedestrians were crossing southbound on 42nd Street when the male victim was hit by a westbound driver. Moments later, he was struck by another driver.
Officials indicated the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
Witnesses said the drivers had been traveling on a green light while the pedestrians disregarded a stop-and-go signal.
At this time, no pending charges have been reported.
An investigation remains underway.
