Man killed in two-vehicle crash on SH-137 near Garden City

GLASSCOCK COUNTY, TX — A 31-year-old Midland man died Monday morning after a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 137 near Garden City, reports Your Basin.

The fatal wreck occurred on the southbound lanes about 12 miles west of the city at around 6:30 a.m.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 22-year-old Luling man was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he veered off the roadway and into a ditch. His vehicle then re-entered the highway and hit a 2016 Honda Accord.

The driver of the Honda died from his injuries at the scene, confirmed the Texas DPS.

Medics transported the driver of the Chevrolet to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

At this time, no details have been shared regarding any pending charges.
