MIDLAND, TX — A 50-year-old woman died early Sunday morning after a two-vehicle collision on Business 20 near west Midland, according to Midland Reporter-Telegram.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the fatal crash happened about eight miles west of the city.
An early investigation shows a 70-year-old man was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck eastbound in a turning lane. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned in front of a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500, causing a crash.
The woman, who had been in the front passenger seat of the Silverado, was pronounced deceased the scene. Officials noted she had not been wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Silverado was listed in stable condition and transported to Midland Memorial Hospital.
Authorities said the driver of the Dodge was uninjured.
An investigation was underway.
