1 killed, 2 hospitalized, after collision involving Midland Police patrol unit

MIDLAND, TX – A man was killed when his vehicle slammed into a Midland Police patrol unit on Loop 250 Saturday morning.

According to a report by KOSA, the patrol unit was rear-ended by a Nissan Altima at about 2:50 a.m. near the A Street overpass.

The driver of the Nissan, 28-year-old Jeremy Nicholas Casias, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both the police officer and a passenger of the Nissan were sent to Midland Memorial Hospital with unknown reasons.

Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the deadly crash at this time.
